New computers, built or supplied

Custom-built desktops, and HP, Lenovo and ASUS machines off the shelf. We'll tell you honestly which one you're better off with.

We sell two kinds of computer: ones we build, and ones we supply. Which is right depends entirely on what you're doing with it, and we'd rather tell you that up front than sell you the one with the better margin.

Everything comes set up properly, with your data moved across, and someone local to ring when you need to.

Custom builds

Where the machine has a specific job to do, building it is usually better value than buying it.

Gaming — Specified around the games you play and the resolution and frame rate you want to run them at. A competitive shooter at high refresh and a single-player game at 4K want quite different machines.

Workstations — Video editing, CAD, photography, 3D and development. These are the builds where memory, storage speed and cooling matter more than the headline graphics card.

Home and office desktops — Quiet, quick and reliable, without paying for parts that do nothing for browsing, email and documents.

Upgrades and rebuilds — Often you don't need a whole machine. A newer graphics card, more memory or faster storage will get several more years out of what you own.

Custom builds are assembled, cable-managed, stress-tested and benchmarked here before they leave, and carry a 12-month warranty on parts and labour.

Branded machines

For a lot of people — and most businesses — an off-the-shelf machine is the right answer, and we supply them.

HP and Lenovo — What we put in front of business clients. The business ranges are built to be maintained rather than replaced, with proper manufacturer warranty including onsite options, consistent hardware across a fleet, and driver and firmware support that lasts years rather than months.

ASUS — Strong value at the home and consumer end, desktops and laptops both.

Laptops — The bulk of what we supply. Business ultraportables, everyday home machines and larger desktop-replacement models, from the same brands.

Branded machines carry the manufacturer's warranty, not ours. On business ranges that's frequently better than anything we could offer — often three years with onsite service — and we handle the warranty claim for you rather than leaving you on hold.

Which one you want

Buy branded if you want warranty and onsite service without thinking about it, you're buying several machines that should be identical, or you want a laptop. Laptops are effectively never worth building.

Build custom if the machine has a demanding specific job, you want to upgrade it over time rather than replace it, or you're at the performance end where retail pricing gets poor value fast.

If you're not sure, tell us what you do with it and we'll tell you which way we'd go.

For business

Business hardware is normally supplied as part of ongoing support — HP and Lenovo, specified consistently, tracked through their warranty period and replaced on a schedule rather than when they die. That sits inside managed IT services alongside monitoring, backup and support.

You don't need a support agreement to buy hardware from us, but it's usually where it makes the most sense.

Setup and data transfer

A new computer is only useful once everything is on it. We move your files, email, browser profiles and applications across, get you signed in, and make sure the old machine is wiped properly before it goes anywhere.
