We've been fixing computers here for around ten years, on top of more than thirty years in the industry. It's the same team that looks after business networks across the Hunter, so whatever is wrong with your machine, we've almost certainly seen it before.
What it costs
$180 plus parts. That's the repair, whatever it turns out to be — a flat rate rather than an hourly meter running while we work.
If we can't fix it, there's a $50 inspection fee and nothing further to pay. You'll always know what the parts cost before we order anything.
All repairs carry a 12-month warranty covering both parts and labour.
What we fix
Won't start or won't boot — Power faults, failed drives, corrupted Windows installs, dead power supplies.
Slow machines — Usually an ageing hard drive rather than a machine that needs replacing. An SSD and a memory upgrade will make most computers from the last eight years feel new.
Viruses and malware — Removal, clean-up, and getting proper protection in place so it doesn't happen again.
Hardware faults and replacement — Power supplies, graphics cards, memory, storage, fans and motherboards.
Laptops specifically — Screens, batteries, keyboards and hinges have their own page: laptop repairs.
Data recovery
Deleted files, corrupted drives, USB sticks and memory cards. This one sits outside the flat rate — how much work a recovery takes depends entirely on how the drive failed, and some jobs need specialist equipment. Bring it in and we'll assess it and quote before doing anything.
Apple Macs
We don't repair Apple Mac hardware. Windows desktops, laptops and all-in-ones are what the workshop is set up for, and you'll get a better outcome taking Mac hardware to someone tooled for it.
Same-day service
Most repairs are turned around the same day or the next. Bring it in and we'll access it. Parts availability is usually what decides it, and we'll tell you up front which one you're looking at.
