Hardy IT was founded in 2017 by Doug Hardy, after more than thirty years working in IT and electronics.
That background matters more than it sounds. Thirty years spans mainframes to cloud, and electronics before that, which means a fault gets diagnosed from first principles rather than by working down a script until something matches. It's the difference between "we'll reimage it" and knowing why it broke.
What we do
We work at both ends of the market, which is unusual and deliberate.
For businesses Managed IT support, Microsoft 365 as a Cloud Solution Provider, cyber security, backup, hardware supply and internet. Ongoing agreements rather than call-out-and-invoice, so the incentive is to stop things breaking rather than to be there when they do.
For home users Repairs, upgrades, custom builds and new machines from our Swansea workshop. Flat-rate pricing, and honest advice about when a machine is worth fixing and when it isn't.
Custom software We design and build business applications, which almost no IT company our size does. More on that below.
We build our own software
Most IT companies resell other people's tools. We write ours.
Monder is a client portal for businesses running Microsoft 365, staff onboarding and offboarding, asset registers, leave, org charts and licence tracking in one place. It's in daily use by client businesses and included with managed IT at no extra cost.

How we work
We tell you what we'd do. If a repair isn't worth it, or the cheaper option is genuinely the better one, that's what you'll hear. We'd rather have the client for ten years than the invoice this week.
We're local, and it's not a marketing line. The workshop is on the Pacific Highway in Swansea. You can walk in. When a site visit is needed, it's someone who has been to your office before.
We don't lock people in. No contracts designed to be difficult to leave, and no proprietary systems that make it expensive to go elsewhere.
Where we work
Based in Swansea, we look after clients across Lake Macquarie, Belmont, Warners Bay, Toronto, Charlestown, Cardiff, Morisset and the surrounding suburbs. As well as Newcastle, the Hunter Valley and the Central Coast.
